The Shining
The Shining is a psychological 1980 horror movie that was produced and directed by American film director, producer, photographer and screenwriter Stanley Kubrick. He is regularly quoted as one of the greatest filmmakers in cinematic history. The shining is based off of Stephen King’s 1977 novel of the same name. The film stars Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Scatman Crothers and Danny Lloyd. Jack Torrance (Nicholson) is an aspiring writer who takes a job and his wife and son to the historic Overlook Hotel in the Colorado Rockies when he accepts a position as the off-season caretaker. The family finds themselves in trouble as Jack loses his mind, in this classic American horror story.
